Business Up Front Party In The Back (Diamond Edition)

Me minus You equals not a chance

Ok so I didn't go see Emery at the Granada because they were sold out.  Big deal.

And so I'm not gonna go see Family Force 5 tomohrrow because it too is sold out.  Big deal.

I am however going to go see Relient K, Mae, and Sherwood in April.  The Monday after Acquire The Fire.  As of right now, it's me, Eric TNTD, and possibly Erin.  I hope Erin gets to go.  That would be super awesome!  Because I kind of miss her some.  You know how that goes.

So this Saturday night is the Final Four for March Madness.  Joy88 Fired Up! March Madness that is.  I don't really know (nor do I care) what's going on with the NCAA tournament.  I'm not gonna say what songs are winning, but I can tell you that the songs that Matt and I predicted to win the Elite 8 round are most likely gonna win.  It wasn't even really a contest.  I'm curious and excited to see what song will win.  And who is gonna get all those FABULOUS PRIZES!

So last night, the Spirit of God was really flowing through the youth room, and a lot of kids were touched.  Even my amazing sisters, Shellby and Shelby, were feeling Him.  I didn't get a chance to talk to Shelby, but I did talk to Shellby, and I was really excited to see her being touched by God.  And I asked her if there was anything I could pray for her for, and we talked and she told me about her decision to give up everything to God, and that she felt called to be a missionary to China.  I was blown away and ecstatic!  My heart was bursting with joy for her.  Oh man.  I long to see her reach her full potential in Christ.  And I'm excited that she's letting me help her reach it.  Yay!

Family Force 5 put out their re-release Tuesday.  "Business Up Front, Party In The Back" diamond edition.  The new songs are dope.  Check them out.  www.myspace.com/familyforce5

So I'm still being bothered by someone in the church.  I'm not gonna go around dropping this person's name.  But this person is kinda on my bad side.  And it shouldn't be that way, but that's how it is.  So I need prayer in that.  I need to overcome it.  Because I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to be dealing with this person for a while.  Yeah, that's all I'm gonna say.  Thanks.

Oh I have a new phone.  It's a red Razr.  I'm still trying to get used to it, but I'm liking it so far.

I think that's it for now.  I might have some news pretty soon about something.  But I'm not positive on that.  And I'm not gonna say what it's about.  But we'll see.  Thanks and love.

RECENTLY ACQUIRED CD'S:
-Family Force 5 "Business Up Front, Party In The Back" diamond edition
-The Showdown "Temptation Come My Way"

Can't be too strong to change

Tomohrrow night.....Main Street Cafe.....Starlit Platoon, Kids in the Way, and Inhale Exhale.  I'm going.  Are you?

March 10.....The Granada Theatre.....Emery, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and some other bands that I don't care about.  I'm going.  Are you?

March 23.....Raytown Presbyterian Church.....Family Force 5 and Thousand Foot Krutch.  I'm going.  Are you?

(Getting annoyed yet?)

April 23.....The Beaumont Club.....Sherwood, Relient K, and Mae.  I might be going.  Are you?

Oh and Kansas City's Acquire The Fire is coming up.  April 20-21.  You should go.  Or at least volunteer.  I get to be Skillet's merch guy.  Woo!  Steph is going too.  No idea what she's gonna be doing though.  So, you know.  Whatever.

Um....so I have a job finally.  I started last Monday.  I work at Noller Lincoln Mercury now.  That's a car dealership for those of you who don't know.  I am their parts driver.  I deliver parts to different auto shops.  I do some in Topeka, and then I go out of town to deliver.  Lots of little rinky dink towns like Seneca, and Marysville, and Bern.  I went to Westmoreland today to deliver, and I thought of Aimee.  I was like "Aww...I'm thinking of Aimee."  Just like that.

My depression is pretty much clearing up.  Starting to anyways.  Which makes me excited.

Gourtney and I went to Springfield, MO last weekend.  Got to meet Becky finally.  She was awesome times.  And we went and saw mewithoutYou.  They were awesome times too.  Fa sho.  I didn't like the venue though.  I expected drinking and smoking, but not actually in the concert area.  It was kinda gross.  And Becky got hit on by a drunk dude.  Not cool at all.  I felt bad.

Speaking of Farewell To Ashlyn, they're really cool.  Check them out.  www.myspace.com/farewelltoashlyn

I think that's all for right now.  Except that you should keep up with Joy88 Fired Up! March Madness.  I'm just saying is all.

Thanks.

Death by allergies?

Probably.  My allergies started acting up yesterday.  They were fine for a while, and then out of nowhere, I was out.  Sore throat, headache, runny itchy nose, etc.  I feel like I'm about to a splode.

Saturday, I drove to Manhattan, and went to Kendra's house.  Her and I went to Dane's (he had to go to work), and so we took Drew with us to get food.  Then we went to RACHEL'S HOUSE!!!  I was happy to see her.  I never get to anymore.  She is awesome.  If you read this Rach, I love you a whole lot, and you're in my prayers.  After I got back to Topeka that night, I went to the radio station and we started our annual Joy88 Fired Up! March Madness tournament.  It's gonna go till, I think, the first Saturday night in April.  Still have no idea what the prizes are (except a couple), but we're working on it.  After the show, at Matt's house, I talked to Kendra for a bit about some stuff I'm dealing with (pray for me if you would please), and when I went back into the living room, Matt and Gourtney knew something needed to be let out, and they prayed for me and loved on me and God's presence was all up ins that place.  It was great.

Sunday, Kendra came to church with me, and her and Gourtney and I all met up with Matt and Eric TNTD at Spangles.  We got food then busted out to the Grand Emporium in Kansas City.  We helped Pillar (and Showbread a little) load up some of their stuff into the venue.  We all got Pillar VIP passes, so we didn't have to pay.  A Christian organization called Invisible Children showed a video at the start, then a local band called Life In Jersey played.  They were pretty good.  After them was Tyler Read, who we all liked a lot.  They had great stage presence, and great music too.  After them, Showbread came on, and they were amazing, as usual.  After them, we were all beat up and tired from the madness of the crowd, so we left the crowd and sat around away from everyone while Pillar played.  But we heard them, and they did a pretty good show.  Afterwards, we all stuck around and helped carry out equipment and merch.  And then we saw Josh Dies and we talked to him about stuff.  He is such an awesome guy.  And he gave us all hugs lol.  Yay!  We had a blast.

On the ride home is when my allergies started killing me.  So when I got home, I took two Benadryls and fell right to sleep.  About 3 in the morning, Ms. Lynda decides she wants to call me......3 times.  I didn't hear the phone the first time, then I didn't hear it the second time until it was done ringing.  Then the third time I answered.  And I have no idea what we talked about, for the whole 5 minutes we talked.  Except for some reason she asked if I would still love her if she was fat.  I told her "Lynda, I don't even love you right now."  She hung up on me.  I fell back asleep.

Um....the end!

I see you standing here
But you’re so far away
Starving for your attention
You don’t even know my name
You’re going through so much
But I know that I could be the one to hold you
Every single day
I find it hard to say
I could be yours alone
You will see someday
All along the way
I was yours to hold
I was yours to hold
I see you walking by
Your hair always hiding your face
I wonder why you’ve been hurting
I wish I had some way to say
You’re going through so much
Don’t you know that I will be the one to hold you
I’m stretching but you’re just out of reach
You should know
I’m ready when you’re ready for me
And I’m waiting for the right time
For the day I catch your eye
To let you know
That I’m yours to hold

Every once in a while I think I'm lying

Sunday night...Red Robin.  I got a text message from a strange number.  I thought maybe Matt would know it.  So I proceded to ask him.  "Hey Matt, do you know this number?  86...." and that's when it happened.  He shot a spitball RIGHT IN MY MOUTH!  It hit my tongue.  And it was kinda numb for a few seconds.  It was hilarious.  We all laughed so hard.

Btw, go to www.myspace.com/joy88firedup and send us a message with your pick for Joy88 Fired Up March Madness.  Not even joking.  Or send us an email with your pick, joy88firedup@gmail.com.  DO IT!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Every once in a while I think I'm lying
Take it to the bank, I'll believe every word I say
(This just isn't how, this just isn't how)
Then again this is when you start your prying
(This just isn't how, this just isn't how)
But here's a thought:  it could be true
But this just isn't how I imagined it would be
With these random people just asking the most personal things
And to think that somehow I could always come clean
And you shake your head just like you know what I mean
You're a Christian, tell the sinner
Find repentance, it's your last chance
You believer, where's your patience?
Answer questions, put on faces
(What about God?) To see if it's right or wrong
(What about God?) To listen to this song
(What about God?) I don't want you too
(What does it mean?) And see if you're okay
(What does it mean?) With all the words I say
(For you, for me.) It can't be this way
(All have fallen short)
Somehow, someone's more equal than others
Depending on the words we choose to say
A glance at her too long tonight
But everything I'm saying's right in your ears
We're all the sisters and the brothers
Until we find we don't believe the same
Like Gary's getting drunk to forget Sarah
Sarah's stealing money from her parents
Aaron's lying straight to Jon
About Megan and the things that went on
Jessica's a gossip, Laura's a slut
Derrick hits Bridget, Ben deals drugs
Seth spends all his money gambling
Joey stopped praying, it's all the same
We are all the same people
With sinning hearts that make us equal
Here's my hand, not words said desperately
It's not our job to make anyone believe
Thanks kids.
